L-IFT (Low-Income Financial Transformation) is a social enterprise dedicated to data empowerment of disadvantaged people
Our origins are conducting financial diaries research since 2014. We learned from our diaries participants that keeping track of their finances, economic events and other aspects of their lives, people got a better grip on their circumstances and saw ways to improve their situation.
In addition to research, we now enable thousands of low-income people across 18 countries to build their financial history and get insights into their situation. They also use their data to make themselves understood to organizations and institutions. The data enables more people to access loans.
We aim to help communities learn from data and train youth to be customer-centric, providing valuable work experience for local individuals. Our mission is to foster self-awareness and confidence among respondents, enabling them to take control of their futures.
