Most of the respondents in my kebele celebrate Christmas. This situation leads to expenses that are related to the celebration in addition to crop harvesting costs. To handle such expenses and get a good price for the cattle they were fattening the cattle using grass from summer. Most farmers take out their cattle to the market for sale. They also buy other cattle to replace sold cattle, and these new cattle are to be taken care of using straw from crops produced during future farm activity. These transactions create a good flow of cash to the farmers to acquire some assets and handle some expenses.
