Three innovative projects are about to start.

This newsletter only presents to you one of them, the other two will be disclosed in the next newsletter.

Measuring whether the process of financial diaries has an impact on micro-entrepreneurs:

The Small Firm Diaries project will also include one micro-entrepreneur study focusing on retail. In addition to Tim Ogden, Emma Riley of Washington University is Principal Investigator. This research will study whether participating in financial diaries with getting data reports and explanations, will lead to better business outcomes or other changes in micro-entrepreneurs.

This randomized controlled trial will compare a control group to one group of women micro-entrepreneurs who participate in FINBIT financial diaries, and another group who do FINBIT financial diaries and also get printed reports of their data and coaching in understanding the data.
