Farmers use head cabbage leftovers as animal feed. Lack of animal feed (quality feeds) is one of the main challenges affecting livestock production and productivity and this can somehow, contribute to animal feed supply
Today, one of my respondents ( 46 ID) told me that she collected the leftovers after the head cabbage was uprooted from the field. Generally, head cabbage can be regarded as a source of animal feed, food for human beings, and a source of income. It has also created job opportunities for unemployed youths participating in transporting the produce from the farm field to market (mainly for donkey cart owners).
The other interesting thing is that all of the livestock (cattle, donkeys, sheep, and goats) feed together.
